Where we ask you to consent to certain processing procedures, then the processing is based on EU-GDPR, art. 6, para. 1(a). If the processing of personal data takes place in connection with the fulfilment of a contract, e.g. is necessary for a delivery of goods or for executing pre-contractual measures following an enquiry, then the processing takes place on the basis of EU-GDPR, art. 6, para. 1(b). If our company is required by law to process personal data, e.g. to fulfil fiscal obligations, then the processing takes place on the basis of EU-GDPR, art. 6, para. 1(c). If the processing of personal data is not based on any of the aforementioned legal reasons, then we process the data to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company (EU-GDPR, art. 6, para. 1(f)).
The only third parties to whom we transfer your personal data are exclusively associated service partners, e.g. those we appoint within the scope of handling a contract. If you contact our trade partners, FRIEDR. ISCHEBECK GMBH is no longer responsible for the processing of any data provided.
Data is provided in the areas described below:
5.1 Enquiry form
The enquiry form enables interested parties to send an enquiry digitally and directly to FRIEDR. ISCHEBECK GMBH.
If an interested party contacts FRIEDR. ISCHEBECK GMBH in this way, then the data provided on the enquiry form (first and last names, e-mail address, telephone number, etc.) are automatically stored. Storage takes place solely for the purpose of processing the enquiry or contacting the person concerned.
Alternatively, it is possible to contact the company via the e-mail addresses provided on the company’s website. In this case all the data provided by the person are stored. The e-mails sent are in most cases delivered to the general mailboxes of the departments. Storage of the data again takes place in the meaning of the aforementioned purposes.
5.2 Service portal
The service portal enables access to a multitude of documents and services concerning the products of FRIEDR. ISCHEBECK GMBH. Personal data are processed in order to register for the service portal. The data required for this are: first and last names, postal and e-mail addresses.
5.3 Newsletter
FRIEDR. ISCHEBECK GMBH publishes a newsletter at regular intervals which provides up-to-date information about the company and its products. If you wish to receive our newsletter, we require a valid e-mail address from you. You thus consent to us using the e-mail address to send you our newsletter that keeps you up to date with company activities.
6. Job applications
You may submit your application by post or by e-mail (jobs-germany@ischebeck.de). If you send us a job application, we process the information we receive from you, e.g. letter of application, CV, certificates, other contact options, within the scope of the application procedure. Besides your contact data, especially relevant for us are: details of your training, your qualifications, your work experience and your abilities. We assess you only according to your suitability for the respective position; you do not have to send us a photograph.
Your data are initially processed exclusively in conjunction with the application procedure and the decision regarding an employer-employee relationship. The legal basis for this processing of your personal data is the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG, German data protection act), art. 26 (initiation of an employer-employee relationship). If your application is successful, your personal data will be transferred to your personnel file. We retain all applications for up to 6 months after conclusion of the selection procedure and are thereafter finally erased or returned to you in full. Should your application have attracted our interest but we are currently unable to offer you a job, we might request your explicit consent to the retention of your application data by us for longer so that we can consider you for a vacancy in the future.
Your personal data are only collected or processed for the purpose of handling your application. If you apply for a post at one of our group companies, your data are transmitted to that company for that purpose.
7. Cookies and server log files
Our website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are saved on a computer system by a Web browser. The use of cookies enables the websites visited and the servers to distinguish the individual browser of the data subject.
Some cookies are essential for the operation and presentation of the website and do not collect any personal data. Others, on the other hand, enable your website visit to be adapted to your preferences and your user behaviour. In this case we ask you to consent to the use of these optional cookies when you visit our website for the first time.
The use of cookies for all websites can be prevented by changing the settings in the respective Web browser. You can configure your browser settings to suit your requirements and, for example, accept third-party cookies or reject all cookies. Cookies that have already been stored may be erased. We would point out that in this case you might not be able to use all the functions of this website.
The following cookies are used on the website:
This website uses the Borlabs cookie, a technically essential cookie that stores your cookie consents. The Borlabs cookie does not process any personal data, it merely stores your consents that you have given upon visiting the website for the first time. If you wish to revoke these consents, simply erase the cookie in your browser. When you revisit/reload the website, you will be requested to provide your cookie consent again.
Server log files are compiled for technical reasons. The hosting provider stores technical data (e.g. type of browser, browser version, operating system used, time of enquiry, IP address, etc.) in these files which are automatically transmitted to the provider by the browser. These data are not combined with other data and therefore it is not possible to allocate the data to any specific person.
8. Google services
Google (Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; responsible for Europe: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow Street, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland) provides a variety of services. In doing so, Google collects data about the apps, browsers and devices that you use when accessing Google services in the form of individual activities (e.g. search queries, browser history, purchasing activities) or location data (e.g. GPS, IP address, WLAN access points).
Your consent forms the legal basis for embedding all Google services and the associated data transfer to Google (EU-GDPR, art. 6, para. 1(a)).
However, Google shortens your IP address before transmission within Member States of the European Union or other Contracting Parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.
Google’s privacy policy is available here: https://policies.google.com/privacy. The additional conditions of use for Google maps are available here: https://www.google.com/help/terms_maps.html.
9. Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files stored on your computer to enable an analysis of how you use the website.
You may prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser; however, we would point out that in this case the full functionality of this website might not be available. In addition, you can prevent transmission of the data generated by the cookie regarding your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of such data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
More detailed information is available here: https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/ (general information about Google Analytics). We would point out that on this website, the scope of Google Analytics has been broadened by the use of the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” in order to guarantee that IP addresses collected are anonymised (IP masking).
10. YouTube
Our website uses components (videos) of the YouTube company, LLC 901 Cherry Avenue, 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, a company belonging to Google Inc., Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The company responsible for Europe is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow Street, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland.
We use the “privacy-enhanced mode” option provided by YouTube.
Calling up a page with an embedded video entails making a connection to the YouTube servers so that the content can be displayed on the website by way of a message sent to your browser.
According to information provided by YouTube, in the “privacy-enhanced mode”, data is only transmitted to the YouTube servers when you watch the video. If you are simultaneously logged on to YouTube, this data is allocated to your YouTube account. You can prevent this by logging off from your account prior to visiting our website.
Further information about the YouTube privacy policy is provided by Google under the following link: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
11. Social media
We are active online in social networks so that we can communicate with the interested parties and users also active there and keep them up to date with our activities.
In these networks, user data can be processed by the service provider outside the area of the European Union. This can result in risks for users because, for example, it can be difficult to enforce the rights of users.
The social media page you visit includes options for reacting to our articles, commenting on them, compiling your own user posts and sending us private messages concerning personal matters. The data you provide in connection with this, to which we might have access as well (e.g. user name, pictures, possibly interests, contact data), is used by us exclusively for the purpose of communicating with customers and interested parties. Our aim is to provide you with a platform where we can display current information and where you can inform us about your concerns and requests so that we can deal with these as quickly as possible.
Furthermore, on our website we use social media buttons, i.e. plug-ins that link directly to the social networks we use. The plug-ins of the respective providers can be identified by their logos. If you visit a page that includes such a plug-in, the social media service provider is informed about which pages you are visiting. The data that is processed can be used to compile a usage profile of the user. Therefore, we have no influence on the scope of the data collected by an activated plug-in and how such data is used by the provider.
Besides the basic functions performed by the page, we do not carry out any further data processing. Please note that the service provider can use tracking tools and cookies irrespective of how we use the page.
In the following we explain the processing of your personal data carried out by us within the scope of our online activities. A ruling by the European Court of Justice (ECJ) from 5 June 2018 confirms that the service provider and the website operator are jointly responsible.
For a more detailed explanation of the respective processing and the objection options (opt-out), please consult the information made available by the providers we use. For the case of requests for information and asserting users’ rights, we would also point out that the most effective way of asserting these is by contacting the providers. Only the providers have access to the data of users and can take the corresponding measures and provide information. However, should you require assistance, please get in touch with us.
We use the following social media plug-ins on our website:
- Google/YouTube (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; responsible for Europe: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow Street, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland) – privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy; opt-out: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated

12. Web fonts
We use Monotype web fonts supplied by Monotype Imaging Holdings Inc. (600 Unicorn Park Drive, Woburn, Massachusetts 01801 USA) on our website.
No personal data is collected or processed by Monotype Imaging Holdings Inc. However, an anonymised IP address is transmitted to a third-party service provider. The third-party service providers are subsidiaries or affiliates of Monotype Imaging Holdings Inc. Your consent according to GDPR, art. 6, para. 1(a), forms the legal basis for embedding the service and the associated data transfer concerning the web fonts.

13. WordPress Download Manager

Your IP address is not stored when downloading information.
WordPress Download Manager is used to achieve an attractive, clearly structured presentation and to exchange documents and notifications relevant for tax purposes. This represents a legitimate interest in the meaning of EU-GDPR, art. 6, para. 1(f). In addition, we use the plug-in for statistical purposes (EU-GDPR, art. 89, para. 1(f)). We evaluate the total number plus the date and time of all downloads. This helps us to discover which things interest our users and how we can optimise our website in order to improve the user’s experience.
More information about how W3 Eden handles user data can be found in their privacy policy: https://w3eden.com/
14. Duration for which personal data is stored
The criterion for the duration of storage of personal data is the respective statutory period of retention. Once the period of retention has expired, the data are routinely erased unless they are still required for initiating or fulfilling an employer-employee relationship.
If you send us an e-mail via the enquiry form, your e-mail is sent to the mailboxes concerned and stored there for an indefinite period of time.
In order that we can send you news about the company on an ongoing basis, your data for the newsletter are used by us until you withdraw your consent.
Your data that are stored within the course of using our online activities are erased – in so far as this is possible for us – upon discontinuing the operation of the website.
15. Rights of data subjects
According to EU-GDPR, art. 15, have the right to receive information at any time about the data we store about you and the purpose of the storage. You may withdraw your consent to the storage or use of your personal data at any time in writing. Besides your right to object, you have the right to rectification (EU-GDPR, art. 16), to restricting the processing (EU-GDPR, art. 18) and to the erasure of your data (EU-GDPR, art. 17).
According to EU-GDPR, art. 77, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the appropriate supervisory authority. (In North Rhine-Westphalia this is the State Officer for Data Protection & Freedom of Information in Düsseldorf). In addition, you have the right to receive the data you have transmitted in a machine-readable format.

You can also contact our external data protection officer directly concerning all questions, requests for information, enquiries or complaints.
