[text] => This year once again, Magdeburg’s traditional Christmas market sets new benchmarks, particularly with its Christmas tree as the central feature. Measuring more than 22 metres in height and weighing nearly seven tonnes, the Douglas fir soars above the market square as a brilliant focal point, decorated with more than 10,000 LED lights and splendid ornaments.

[text] => The fir tree was set into a specially prepared ground socket that is integrated in a customised concrete foundation to provide the necessary stability and security.
TITAN micropiles were used for the foundations. Four TITAN 73/45 micropiles, each 10 metres in length and set at an angle of 11.3 degrees, warrant the necessary stability even under adverse weather conditions, and ensure that the tree’s load is distributed in deeper loadbearing subsoil.
