The project involves the rehabilitation and construction of road sections to create a 152 km transport corridor with tunnels, bridges, and viaducts between Bucaramanga and Barrancabermeja. With an investment of around EUR 880 million, it enhances connectivity to key oil-producing regions and promotes the economic development of the affected municipalities.
Objective: To enhance regional connectivity and strengthen Colombia’s transport infrastructure
Scope: Rehabilitation and expansion of the 152 km corridor between Bucaramanga and Barrancabermeja
Highway: 95 km of dual carriageway (two lanes in each direction)
Tunnels: 2 tunnels with a total length of 5.96 km
Bridges & Viaducts: 34 new structures
