As part of a trip to Germany by the German-Chilean Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Chile), we welcomed a delegation from Chile to our site in Ennepetal. It consisted of representatives of leading mining companies as well as officials from the Chilean ministry. The aim of the visit was to exchange expertise on innovative technologies and sustainable solutions for mining in the future.
Our subsidiary in Chile is a specialist in TITAN micropiles used for stabilising slopes in mining areas, which are mainly operated there as open-cast mines. Copper production in particular plays a pivotal role. Solutions from ISCHEBECK make an important contribution to safety in mining and tunnel construction. In addition, the subsidiary regularly conducts training and professional development programmes in order to promote an exchange of expertise and to strengthen the qualifications of skilled workers.
The delegation was accompanied by Gonzalo Herrera Lagos, Managing Director of our Chilean subsidiary. Our Managing Director Björn Ischebeck stressed: “The delegation’s visit was a valuable opportunity for us to deepen our close collaboration with Chile and to strengthen mutual understanding. In recent years, we have developed special products for mining which extend the business area of geotechnics beyond the traditional specialist foundation engineering. The direct exchange gives us valuable impetus to further develop this area in a forward-looking way.”
