On site, they watched the installation of TITAN micropiles used to shore up the future GAZ (emergency response centre) for the Ennepe-Ruhr county. They also made the most of an opportunity to learn more about how the micropiles are installed and used.\r\n\r\nThe new GAZ for the Ennepe-Ruhr county is being constructed on land covering about 17,500 square metres. In future, it will house offices, sheds, outdoor areas and the control centre for the fire brigade and the ambulance service. For example, micropiles are being used to shore up the new FEBI office building in Wilhelmstra\u00dfe. They also prevent the wall from collapsing at the entrance to the Kluterth\u00f6hle caves.
